Well done to our 6 members who competed in the Raheny Shamrocks Mid- Summer 5k race which also incorporated the Dublin 5k Road Championship. First home was Paul Cowhie in 16mins23sec which earned him 4th place overall and 1st in his category – a Dublin Champion, congrats. Also running for the club were Jimmy Courtney, Maire Norris, Joe Delaney, Joe Chaney and Tom Turner – well done all.
Civil Service Harriers Athletic Club is a running club based in the Phoenix Park in Dublin and was officially founded in 1867, making it Ireland’s oldest athletic club. However, these days you don’t have to be a Civil Servant to join the club. The club is comprised of runners of all levels and abilities who meet and run in the Phoenix Park.
