On a perfect day for running we had 31 members compete in the Dublin Half Marathon – all the training and pain from Tony’s sessions is paying off with PBs for many. First man home for CSH was Dave Sweeney in 1:18 and first lady home was Siobhain Carroll in 1:29. Congrats to both Siobhain and Ritta who were 2nd in their respective categories. Civil Service Harriers Athletic Club is a running club based in the Phoenix Park in Dublin and was officially founded in 1867, making it Ireland’s oldest athletic club. However, these days you don’t have to be a Civil Servant to join the club. The club is comprised of runners of all levels and abilities who meet and run in the Phoenix Park.
