Easter Weekend Races – (2016 Weekly Report #12)

Happy Easter to All CSH’ers. We had some of our crew out this weekend racing with many looking ahead to the EirGrid Dunboyne 4 mile on Sunday 3rd April 2016.


First up this weekend was Ger Clerkin who was on Irish Mountain Runners Association hill running duty in Wicklow, for the Maurice Mullins Half Marathon finishing in 5th place overall. Excellent running by Ger. Full results available from IMRA website: https://www.imra.ie/events/details/id/1332/


Next up, was the Raheny Battle of Clontarf 10 Mile, which also incorporates the Leinster 10 Mile Championships. Ashley Ryan had a superb race to finish 9th female home in 1:09:52, a great top10 championship performance for Ashley. Next CSH’er home was Marie Norris, finishing in the top 50. Civil Service Harriers A.C.

Civil Service Harriers Athletic Club is a running club based in the Phoenix Park in Dublin and was officially founded in 1867, making it Ireland’s oldest athletic club. However, these days you don’t have to be a Civil Servant to join the club. The club is comprised of runners of all levels and abilities who meet and run in the Phoenix Park.
