It was a perfect day for running as the 26 runners lined up for the Frank Duffy 10mile yesterday. We were running on home turf and expectations were high!! And all our expectations were met – congrats to Bernard Duggan who was first home in 57:34, to Dave Sweeney who was second home in 58:55 and he was followed by Sanjaa Chilkhaajav in 59:29. We also had Eanna, Jason O’R and Martin all finish in less than 62mins – great running. It was very tight in the entire CSH field – 2 secs between Eoin Kealy and Jason Harte, 4 secs between Eanna and Jason O’Reilly and 6 secs between Sean Ryan and Patrick Coyle. It was great racing for all the specatators which included 50+ stewards from CSH. First CSH lady home was Marie Norris in 1:14:54 followed by Patricia Sheehan in 1:20:49 and then Sonia Carey in 1:23:47. A special well done to Patrica who was 6th in her category and to Tom Turner who 4th in his category. Well done also to Margo and Fiona who completed their 10mile race togehter – it was great to see them supporting each other. Full results for CSH are in the results section of the website.

Civil Service Harriers Athletic Club is a running club based in the Phoenix Park in Dublin and was officially founded in 1867, making it Ireland’s oldest athletic club. However, these days you don’t have to be a Civil Servant to join the club. The club is comprised of runners of all levels and abilities who meet and run in the Phoenix Park.
